The United Pentecostal Church is an international organisation with churches in over two hundred nations around the world.  The United Pentecostal Church of Australia was established in 1953 and there are now churches scattered all around our nation. When people hear of the ‘United Pentecostals’ they often ask what makes this church different to others.  This is a very natural question and deserves an answer which can be tested against God’s word, the Holy Bible.

There are some very basic questions every person must ask themselves if they are searching out spiritual direction:

First, who is God?  If we don’t know who He is then how will we know what to believe? God and His instructions cannot be separated.  If we have a god who is not the real God then we will find ourselves trying to believe a lie.

Secondly, what are the first things God want us to do to become one of His followers and therefore please Him?

Thirdly, what are His instructions for our life so we can maintain our relationship as His children?

Maybe you have never thought through these logical steps.  If this is the case we invite you to learn more information here. If you would like more information please contact us.

Our Foundations

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).

ABOUT SIN & SALVATION

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).

RESTORATION THROUGH THE BLOOD

The Lord Jesus came “… to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10). This divine act of restoration is dependent on the blood of the Lamb of God and is the foundation that makes salvation possible (Hebrews 9:22b; Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 1:5b).

ABOUT GOD

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING

As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).

ABOUT THE GOSPEL

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection), (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

ABOUT THE FUTURE

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal punishment (Matthew 25:41-46; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15).
